I am so thankful to have men and women of God to help me navigate decisions and to pray for me as God leads Handle with Care Ministries.
Who am I?
I am Leann Woelk, a child of the One True God. I am a daughter, sister, and friend but my most important roles are that of wife to Kevin for 31 years and mom to Jaden and Brendyn and mother in law to Meaghan. I delight in the small things in life, find fun in the ordinary and love to laugh through all life’s ups and downs. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family, talking and laughing together with our dogs Sadie, Callie and Wilson running circles around the living room.
My Faith Story
As a little girl, I realized was a sinner at the age of 7 and walked down a long aisle of a camp tabernacle to give my heart to Jesus. I continued to grow in the Lord was baptized in water at the age of 14 and had a beautiful encounter with the Holy Spirit at 16. I always loved being with children and so I began teaching Sunday School as a youth and have continued to this day.
Growing up in a Christian home, I had been taught the doctrines of the faith but one thing I didn’t completely understand was what do when I sinned as a Christian. I wanted to find a way to help children understand this question in their own lives and it led me on a personal soul care journey where I began to understand his mercy, grace and righteousness. The revelation of the “throne of grace” in Hebrews 4:16 became truth and gave my soul the freedom in Christ that He promises in His Word. I kept asking, seeking and knocking and the Lord began to show me how to be set free of the bondage of past memories that haunted me and through His Word, the truth set me free.
My desire is to imitate the mission Jesus fulfilled in Isaiah 61 -to bring good news to the suffering and afflicted; to bring comfort to the broken-hearted; to proclaim the release of captives, and to free prisoners. Jesus gives our souls freedom from our sin, hurts, anger, bitterness or anything else troubling your soul because of the finished work of the cross of Jesus Christ. Psalm 51:7 says, "Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me and I will be whiter than snow."
My heart wants to know the heart of the Father, to walk in obedience to the Son and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
